FamLink

We present a new software, FamLink, that can perform statistical calculations based on pedigree structures and account for linkage between pairs of markers. In addition, FamLink can simulate genotype data in order to study the effect of accounting for linkage or not. FamLink is released freely, and published in: Kling D, Egeland T, Tillmar AO (2012) FamLink-a user friendly software for linkage calculations in family genetics. Forensic Sci Int Genet. 6(5):616-620.

FamLinkX

We present a new software, FamLinkX, which is a user-friendly software simultaneously accounting for linkage, linkage disequilibrium (LD) and mutations on X-chromosomal data in relationship testing. FamLinkX can also simulate genotype data in order to study the effect of accounting for linkage and LD or not. FamLinkX is released freely. The method is described in: Kling D, Tillmar A, Egeland T, Mostad P. A general model for likelihood computations of genetic marker data accounting for linkage, linkage disequilibrium, and mutations. Int J Legal Med. 2015 Sep;129(5):943-54. The implementation and validation of FamLinkX is outlined in: Kling D, Dell'Amico B, Tillmar AO. FamLinkX - implementation of a general model for likelihood computations for X-chromosomal marker data. Forensic Sci Int Genet. 2015 Jul;17:1-7.
